The Heads Removals' philosophy is to make the move to your new home or commercial property as straightforward as possible. Part of that is our use of secure storage for your goods at a purpose-built facility in Ramsgate and St Nicholas at Wade, East Kent.

Storage can be either on a short-term or long-term basis, for household or business use, all inclusive of insurance cover to ensure peace of mind. Your goods will be stored inside large secure containers, carried by forklift truck to one of our dedicated transporters.

How does it work?

In advance of the move, we discuss your requirements with you and assess the volume of storage container space you will require. On the day of your move, the storage containers will be brought to you. In order to minimise handling, the items for storage are placed straight into the container. As each item is loaded, it is inventoried and the condition recorded. Once loading of a storage container is completed, it is sealed, signed and dated. You will receive a copy of the inventory of the items stored.

Sealed containers are transported back to the purpose-built warehouse in East Kent and stored safely. The storage warehouse is fully secure and dry. It is alarmed with CCTV monitoring 24 hours a day and access is only for authorised personnel. Your storage container(s) will remained sealed and secure until you are ready for them to be delivered to your new location and unloaded.

Preparing items for storage

A key part of planning your storage requirements is the preparation. Items for storage should be well packed and protected to minimise any chances of damage during the move and storage.
